Surprise, large joy, pride and deep religion in your own capabilities – these emotions accompanied participants and organizers during the first edition of the HackTywathon RADOM 2026: Hack The War! The event, organized by SIMBIOSIS Foundation, took place on 9–10 October 2026 at the ENEA Radom Sports Centre hall, being 1 of the key attractions of Radom EXPO 2026.
For precisely 40 hours of intense action and a 24-hour race against time, Radom became the real capital of Art&Science, in which creativity, interdisciplinary approach and passion combined generations of visionaries and innovators.
Young talent, Dual-Use technology and safety challenges
The main axis of HackTywathon 2026 was Dual-Use technologies (double applications), i.e. solutions designed for parallel usage in the civilian and defence sectors. 11 teams, consisting of advanced school students, debutees and enthusiasts of fresh technologies, entered the competition.
The participants worked continuously to make prototypes of applications responding to the real problems faced by military and civilian safety on a regular basis.
The nonsubjective of the initiative was multidimensional:
1. Talent strap: let young people from Radom and the region to showcase their programming and engineering skills.
2. Business impulse: To draw the local business community's attention to the powerful possible of the young generation.
3. Generation merger: Integrating diverse competences and experiences and proving that Radom offers immense opportunities for improvement in the innovation market.
Exceptional implementation way and Winners
The final concepts were assessed by a group of experts and practitioners in the defence, technological and business sectors, consisting of:

• Dr hab. inż. Przemysław Motyl, Prof. URad (Mechanical Department of Radom University)
• Paweł Ząbek (Management Board of Poland Innovative / Innovative Poland)
• Michał Spoczyński (Office of Employers of Poland)
In accordance with the decision of the Competition Commission, they stood on the podium:
• AND PLACE: Engineering Solutions Team – for the application dedicated to the challenge of the National Defence Resort: Integrated Platform PRO RP. The band attracted the judges with extraordinary modesty, humility, and outstanding courage in engineering thinking.
• II PLACE: “Lazarus Brotherhood” team (Students from Radom Electronics) – besides for solving the challenge of the Integrated Platform PRO RP. The band recorded spectacular advancement towards its debut in the hackathon the year before.
• III PLACE: “Schools Promotion” Team – for an application responding to the challenge defined by Georad3D: Where's the shelter? The squad jumped on the podium in their debut performance.
Oh, my God! crucial – protection of intellectual property rights:
All the starting teams received letters of intent from SIMBIOSIS Foundation, which let to launch patent procedures in cooperation with the Polish Patent Office. Due to the initiated process of protecting and implementing solutions on the market, detailed application specifications stay a technological mystery at this stage.
Winners found innovative solutions for:
• Challenge 2 (defined by Georad3D): Where's the shelter? – a applicable infrastructure and civilian problem, requiring rapid, geolocational verification and providing citizens with information about shelters in crisis situations in the absence of connection to the network.
• Challenge 6 (defined by the Ministry of National Defence): Integrated Platform PRO RP – the task of creating a coherent, resilient strategy combining and coordinating key safety and defence processes of the state.
Mentoring and organisational facilities
The quality of presentation and maturity of projects were the consequence of intensive support from Mentorek and Mentorów. Experts from various industries throughout the marathon assisted participants with cognition about technology, strategy architecture and public appearances (pitching).
Among the mentors were: Judyta Wereda, Paweł Sopicki, Dr. Iga Jasińska, Krzysztof Buczek, Ela Maraszak, Karolina Galecka, Błażej Żiliński, Dr. Bogdan Noga, Waldemar Bukalski, Dr. Krzysztof Kołodziejczyk, Maciej Krych, Dr. Andrzej Michalczewski, Piotr Synowiec, Sławomir Góralczyk and Hubert Byzdra.
The energy facilities and regeneration of the participants were provided by the authoritative catering partners ZBYSZKO Sp. z o.o. and BUENO Catering. peculiar thanks to the organizers are besides sent to Krzysztof Turk and Kamila Gierwatowska from the Investor Service Department of the Municipal Office in Radom for their trust and support in organizing the event.
The organizational squad of the SIMBIOSIS Foundation, led by president Eliza Voss, composed of Rafał Kutkiewicz, Roksana Lojek, Małgorzata Rzeszutek, Wojtek Sadowski, Pavlos Apostolakis and Radek Walasik, played an different function in the implementation of the project.
