The Swedish Government proposes that the fresh NATO member, Sweden, should make 8 JAS Gripen fighters available to oversee Poland's airspace", said Swedish abroad Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard on Thursday.
The jets would carry out a NATO Air Police mission. This is simply a mission to defend the integrity of the sovereign airspace of the associate States of the North Atlantic Alliance.
