Border defender officers from Zgorzelec detained 3 smugglers, called "curriers", who carried Syrians around the border with Germany.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (24 March), Border defender officers conducted a check at 1 of the fuel stations on the A4 motorway, stopping a individual Toyota with Polish plates. The driver of the vehicle was a 31-year-old Georgian citizen who, along with his 33-year-old partner, besides from Georgia, carried 3 illegal migrants from Syria across Poland to Germany. Control of the legality of abroad residence confirmed that they come from Syria, but do not have papers enabling legal entry and stay in Poland.

Syrian citizens had passports, but had no papers confirming their legal stay in Poland. All 3 were detained for attempting to illegally cross the Polish-German border without the essential documents.
Administrative decisions on the work to return will be issued to Syrians. Meanwhile, they were all supervised by the Border Guard. On the another hand, the driver of the individual Lexus was detained for helping migrants in an effort to illegally cross the Polish-German border. The Ukrainian confessed to the alleged acts and decided to voluntarily conviction 1 year imprisonment, which was suspended for 2 years of trial. Additionally, the failure of the property benefit of PLN 700 was ruled out, obtained from the crime.
