Examples of the United States and Israel show that the modern army is not only a well-functioning land, air and sea force, but besides a strong technological and investigation facility and an effectively managed military wellness service. These elements together form the directions for the improvement of doctrines and operational strategies. In both countries, the results of medical analyses, conflict data and simulations are utilized on an ongoing basis, and the close cooperation of laboratories with operational practice makes the emerging military doctrines based on sound and up-to-date knowledge. Grzegorz Gielerak, manager of the Military Medical Institute – State investigation Institute in Warsaw, writes about this.
