Russia's aggression into Ukraine has devastated the existing safety architecture in Europe. Poland, due to its direct border with Ukraine and its political, military and humanitarian assistance, became a de facto front state. The situation calls for a question: what is the state of play of the national safety services now, and whether the tasks, structure and organisation they are assigned correspond to reality? This applies in peculiar to intelligence and counterintelligence, referred to as peculiar services. There is inactive a deficiency of laws on operational and investigative activities, a national counter-intelligence community that should make a national counter-intelligence strategy, or laws on abroad principals financing entities operating and shaping public attitudes.
