TAIPEI- Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines (JX) has expanded its codeshare partnership with Alaska Airlines (AS), adding 12 new US cities to its growing North American network. Travelers can now book a single itinerary from 20 cities across the US directly to Taipei (TPE), with smooth connections via San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA).

The enhanced codeshare opens new access points for business, leisure, and connecting travel across Asia, while giving US passengers coordinated booking, streamlined check-in, and mileage redemption opportunities through STARLUX’s COSMILE program.

STARLUX Alaska Codeshare Expansion

The latest expansion brings 12 new US gateways into STARLUX’s network through Alaska Airlines’ domestic hub operations. These new codeshare cities are:

  • Via Seattle (SEA): Minneapolis (MSP), Atlanta (ATL), Tampa (TPA), Anchorage (ANC), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), Orlando (MCO), Washington Dulles (IAD), Kansas City (MCI), Philadelphia (PHL), Spokane (GEG), and Boise (BOI).
  • Via San Francisco (SFO): Newark (EWR).

These join the original eight STARLUX-Alaska codeshare destinations: Salt Lake City (SLC), San Diego (SAN), Phoenix (PHX), Portland (PDX), Las Vegas (LAS), Dallas (DFW), Denver (DEN), and Austin (AUS), which have been operating since late 2024.

Together, this expansion solidifies STARLUX’s strategy to make San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA) its main US gateways.

  • Mileage redemption through STARLUX’s COSMILE program on Alaska-operated flights.
  • Premium travel options across STARLUX’s Asia network, including key cities in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Strategic Partnerships and Future Outlook

STARLUX Airlines (JX) currently operates 33 routes to 29 destinations worldwide, including a strong Asia-Pacific network and long-haul services to Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Ontario, California (ONT).

Looking ahead, STARLUX will launch its Phoenix (PHX) service on January 15, 2026. This will further connect with American Airlines’ (AA) domestic network, extending access across the Americas.

These collaborations are part of STARLUX’s strategy to strengthen its global competitiveness and position Taipei (TPE) as a premier hub for Asia-bound travel.
