Meeting of the heads of defence of the Visegrad Group

The latest global and regional safety challenges and the improvement of drones and anti-drone capabilities were discussed by the heads of defence departments of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary) at a gathering held in Budapest on Wednesday.

From 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 Hungary holds the Presidency of the Visegrad Group for the seventh time (V4).

Hungarian defence minister Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi on Wednesday accepted representatives of the V4 staffs. During the meeting, among others, the global and regional safety challenges and the improvement of drone technologies and the ability to combat unmanned workers were discussed - the ministry reported in the communication.
