On January 13th, the gathering of the Roman Dmowski National Foundation, the editorial board of the weekly “Think Poland” and the Polish thought Clubs took place. Nearly 80 invited guests gathered in the Farm Hall. Among them were representatives of the Gymnastic Society “Sokół” (Zbigniew Okorski), the inheritance of Polish Kombatants of the Second planet War (Roland Dubowski), the Association of Polish-Belarusian relationship (Henryk Miketyn), Safe Poland (Bartosz Kaczmarek), the Polish Left Movement (Zbigniew Sowa), the b. National organization (Jan Rudnicki) and elder National Camp. The gathering was besides attended by representatives of Polish thought Clubs from the full country (Szczecin, Poznań, Gdańsk, Warsaw, Katowice, Kraków, Lublin, Białystok and others)
Prof. Anna Raźny, prof. Stanisław Bielen, col. Bogdan Kulas (Klub of Polish thought – Oslo), col. Kamil Klimczak (Klub of Polish thought – Kraków), col. Zbigniew Sowa (Polish Left Movement) and Dr. Włodzimierz Gorki (Klub of Polish thought – Katowice). The editor-in-chief of “The Polish Thought” Jan Engelgard pointed out a point that links all afraid people about the destiny of Poland from left to right at the Pabianic meeting. This point according to Engelgard is the individual of Roman Dmowski. due to the fact that the résumé of national leaders combines leftist patriots, national democrats and supporters of the national-Catholic ideas of the 1930s.
After the meeting, delegations of Polish thought Clubs, together with the accompanying banner of the Association of Polish Compatants of the Second planet War, visited the Pabianice cemetery. Flower bonds were laid at the monument and quarters of Polish soldiers who were killed in defence of Pabianic on 7 September 1939 and at the grave of the fallen members of the National Workers' Union in Pabianice from 1906 to 1907. A monument of russian soldiers who died in the fight against Nazi Germany was visited. The graves of Gen. Zygmunt Walter-Janki (AC commander in Łódź and Silesia and co-founder of Grunwald) and Commander Bolesław Jan Bishopski (ORP Commander Garland) were besides visited, as well as the plaque of memory of OUN/UPA victims, which he consecrated in 2008 by Fr Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski.
My friend Adam Laughter perfectly fulfilled the task of organising the fresh Year's meeting. They all came out filled with cognition and hope. Nobody was hungry and thirsty. His colleagues Jarosław Królicki and Zbigniew Sekulski assured the artistic setting of the meeting. In the hall, valuable antique items as well as contemporary books could be purchased. The works of Jan Engelgard “Roman Dmowski and 3 generations of nationalists” and Stanisław Bielen “Under the current of the call of vain” (books can be bought in the store “Thinking of Poland”) were peculiarly interesting.
Thank you very much for the chance to meet and hear wise words.
