on the example of the “Report” from the survey on the “genetic pedigree” of the Piasts
The search for cultural and cultural roots of the people surviving in the historical and present areas of Poland; the ability of this people to build statehood independently – these are issues that concern not only the minds of scientists, but increasingly wider layers of Polish society. Genealogy has become an area of interest not only for individual or household reasons, but it takes on an almost civilizational dimension.
Where do we come from as a national community? What are the sources of national and civilizational identity of Poles? These are not questions asked on a regular basis by most Poles, but these are questions raised more and more frequently and more widely. Supporters of autochtonic (preslavic) orientation meet with fierce and amazingly consistent allochtonic (most pro-German) orientation.
There are besides authors on Neon24 who devote much attention to the issues of the sources of Polish society and statehood. A fresh example of this was an article by @Zavisza Blue:Piast pedigree
In mention to this article (in my opinion, clearly one-sided and ‘ideologicalised’), I encourage you, in the form of a fundamental discussion, to read a very interesting podcast.
