56.6% of those surveyed are in favour of taking an oath from 4 TK judges, with the largest group expressing this conviction decisively. The other opinion is 26.2% of respondents, and 17.2% have no opinions.
The results show clear political divisions. Among the supporters of the ruling coalition as much as 97% believe that the president should take the vow, of which 88% are powerfully convinced.
In contrast, more than half of opposition voters argue this solution – 30% declare a decisive "no" and 24% are opposed. At the same time, 12% of those in this group believe that the president should accept fresh judges. On the another hand, the top hesitation of opinion can be seen among voters not connected with the main parties – as many as 41% of them do not have an opinion.
The survey was conducted on 10-12 April 2026 by CATI and CAVI methods on a typical example of a 1000 adult Poles.
Controversial Vow
In March, the Sejm elected fresh judges of the Constitutional Court. On 1 April, 2 of them – Magdalena Bentkowska and Dariusz Szostek – took a vow before president Karol Nawrocki.
For the next fewer days, it was unclear whether and erstwhile the president would take a vow from the another people. In the light of the increasing disputes, on April 9th, a ceremony was held in the Sejm to issue resolutions on the election and make a vow to the President. Nawrocki himself did not appear at this event. The vows were then made by Krystian Markiewicz, Marcin Taborowski, Marcin Dziurda, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, as well as 2 judges who had previously sworn in the Presidential Palace.
Nevertheless, the situation remained unresolved as the judges were not allowed to execute their duties.
The President's Palace emphasises that the phrase "against the President" means the necessity of his presence, so without it, the vow cannot be considered important.
