The dispute over Gaza tightens – the West demands deescalation, Israel announces a “total victory”

The leaders of the 3 states condemned Israel's ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip, identifying it as "totally disproportionate" and possibly violating global humanitarian law. They stressed that although they recognise Israel's right to defend against terrorism, the scale and strength of military action raised serious concerns. The message besides states that if Israel does not halt the offensive and makes full access to humanitarian aid, "specific measures", including possible sanctions against Israeli officials liable for the escalation of the conflict, will be taken.
