The president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski signed on Friday a decree on the entry into force of the decision of the National safety and Defence Council (RBNiO) on sanctions against 59 individuals and 60 legal entities. There are respective Chinese companies on the list.
This is the RBNiO decision ‘On the application of peculiar individual economical measures and another restrictive measures (sanctions)’, issued on 18 April.

According to the Annex to Decree No 247/2025, penalties apply to 60 legal entities, including companies from Russia and China. They're on the punishment list. Chinese advanced technology and aviation companies: Zhongfu Shenying Carbon fibre Xining, Rui Jin Machinery and Beijing Aviation and Aerospace Xianghui Technology.
Sanctions include, inter alia, asset freeze, restrictions on commercial transactions, the prevention of the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, the termination or suspension of licences and another permits, the termination of trade agreements, joint projects and industrial programmes, and the prohibition of technology transfer and intellectual property rights.
China is denying support for Russia. ‘Unwarranted’ accusations
The Chinese abroad Ministry rejected Friday as unfounded accusations of president Zelenski, who had said the day before that China provides Russia with ammunition and explosives and participate in arms production in Russia.

"China has never delivered lethal weapons to any of the parties to the conflict (in Ukraine – PAP) and closely controls (flow) dual-use goods," said MFA spokesperson Lin Jian at the press briefing.
"Boundless friendship" of Beijing and Moscow
Beijing not only never condemned Russia for invading Ukraine, but even since 2022 it has continuously strengthened bilateral relations in the field of economy and defence. Since March 2023, erstwhile China presented a peace task for Ukraine, diplomatic relations are referred to as "Boundless friendship".
