Given Southwest’s typical reliance on Anuvu systems, bandwidth remains a deciding factor in whether such access can be sustained long term.
The US airline industry is steadily moving toward universal free in-flight internet. JetBlue has provided it for years, Delta covers most flights, American plans to roll it out in early 2026, and United will join once Starlink service is installed. For Southwest, the question is timing, not intent.
