In the historical hall of Gdańsk Shipyard, a program agreement was signed between NSZZ “Solidarność” and the candidate for president of Poland, Dr. Karol Nawrocki. The paper sets out the common objectives and policies that the candidate has undertaken to prosecute in the event of a win in the election. Solidarity officially supports Karol Nawrocki, stressing the compatibility of his program with the values of the Union.

The preamble to the agreement underlines the importance of values specified as freedom, solidarity and respect for man. Solidarity, celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, one more time points to the request to defend these principles. Signatories of the paper noted that working together for the good of Poland requires care for sovereignty, household protection, Christian values and equality towards the law.

Commitments by Karol Nawrocki
In the programme agreement, the candidate for president of the Republic of Poland undertook to work to keep the retirement age at the current level, defend jobs and support the Polish economy. He stressed the request to further restrict trade on Sundays and increase wages in the budgetary sphere. He besides mentioned plans to address the negative effects of European Union climate policy.
The Solidarity President, Piotr Duda, stressed that the Karol Nawrocki programme was in line with the Union's demands. The appeal to the members and sympathizers of Solidarity called for active support for his candidacy in the upcoming presidential election.
