A celebrated French actor and friend Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov – Gerard Depardieu faced the court in Paris. He was accused of sexual force during the movie “Les voletsverts” in 2021.
Although the identity of the women who claim Depardieu to commit sexual assault has not been revealed, 1 of them is known to have worked as a production phase designer and the another as an assistant.
The actor rejects the charges, but has not decided to make a message to the media. The trial has been going on since last year, but this is the first trial – it could not have happened earlier due to the defendant's mediocre health.
Depardieu faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of EUR 75 000.
