Slovakia with approval to acquisition American helicopters

Slovakia last spring received an offer to acquisition 12 AH-1Z assault helicopters along with a logistics and training package for a full of $1 billion, of which Bratislava was to pay only $340 million. The remainder of the amount would be covered by the US as compensation for the transfer of the Slovak MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine and the air defence systems of the russian pedigree (probably the [S-300PMU](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/slowacky-s-300-juz-in-Ukraine)). The maximum price of the proposed contract is most likely due to a package of weapons and additional equipment, which raises it by around $260 million. Interestingly, any time ago it was speculated that Slovakia would not, however, decide to acquisition Vipers, and funds from the US will transfer to acquisition Patriot's air defence system. This scenario, of course, may inactive be the case, due to the fact that the agreed-upon does not oblige Bratislava to sign the contract.
