Slovakia will not participate in financial projects to acquisition weapons for Ukraine," said Prime Minister Robert Fico.
"The Government of Slovakia will not give Ukraine any gifts in the form of military aid, nor will we participate in financial mechanisms that would lead to the acquisition of arms for Ukraine," Fico said at a joint press conference with the Croatian Prime Minister in Zagreb, where the Slovak Prime Minister is staying on Wednesday.
At the same time, according to Fico, the Slovak Government is ready to implement humanitarian projects together with Ukraine.
Fico previously said that Slovakia would not support the European Commission's proposal to allocate funds from the state budget to support Ukraine. He stated that decisions on financial assistance to Ukraine should be taken by States independently and on the basis of bilateral agreements with Kiev.
