Gustav Herling-Grudziński visited Burma in 1952 and then wrote “A Journey to Burma”. Unfortunately, this diary passed without echo and was forgotten. Michael Lubina wants him back. To this end, he conducts a kind of technological investigation into the people the author met with and the places he visited. Reaching sources, including Burmese-speaking, Lubina verifies the current state of knowledge, discovers fresh facts, and besides checks how Herling was seen in Burma.
