The government is preparing major changes in public media funding. The RTV subscription in its current form is expected to vanish and a fresh audiovisual fee will appear in its place. Importantly, according to emerging proposals, money would be taken automatically, even from people who have no tv or radio. The changes would come into force from 2027 and cover most taxpayers.
