The National taxation Administration checked how public money spent 177 institutions. The full value of detected irregularities exceeded PLN 120
billion.Controls included, among others, ministries and subordinate units, foundations, associations and another entities that received or spent public money or managed state assets. In July, the Ministry of Finance informed that the controls afraid mainly the management of money between 2020 and 2023.255 notifications to the prosecutor's officeKaS inspectors found, among others, irregularities in granting and clearing grants, the issue of money not in accordance with the financial plan, the misuse of public aid and the unprofitable spending of funds. There were besides cases of activities without a legal basis, insecurity of the interests of the State Treasury, or the creation of institutions which, in the opinion of the auditors, had no economical justification. They concern amounts exceeding PLN 106 billion. A further 131 notifications went to public finance discipline spokespersons. The KAS checks are inactive ongoing and the final balance of detected irregularities and the number of notifications may increase.
