– The president vetoed the law on helping victims of the war in Ukraine.
– Very many people do not realize the situation in which Ukraine and the people who escaped us, who they truly are and what they do. People have been able to make a life here, but since October, due to veto by the President, if nothing changes, they will lose their right to stay and work in Poland. A large group of refugees cannot work, due to the fact that they are elderly, sick, disabled, and I besides have a parent with children with disabilities – they have no leverage, they cannot afford to rent apartments. These people may lose their right to treatment, and in a twelve days they will be staying in Poland illegally. I ask a very circumstantial question: Should these people be sent back? Where? In good things, there should be nothing between us but good, love and mercy.
– In an open letter to the President, the talker of the Sejm, MPs, you criticised the veto of the bill.
