According to MFA spokesperson Paweł Wroński, the head of Polish diplomacy Radosław Sikorski interviewed Deputy Minister of abroad Affairs Andrzej Szejna. "There is no information that Szejna is to be cancelled" - informed PAP Wronski. Minister Sikorski was to receive assurances that the State Secretary was ‘effectively fighting alcohol addiction’.
Wronski said that according to his knowledge, no message by the Ministry of abroad Affairs on Tuesday on the situation of Deputy Minister Szejna is planned.
The territory Prosecutor's Office of Kielce-West conducts proceedings concerning the parliamentary office and the alleged kilometres of 1 of Members of the IX and X term. Media information indicates that the case concerns Deputy abroad Minister Andrzej Szejna (New Left). At the same time, a fewer days ago, “Gazeta Wyborcza” published an article describing Szejna’s problems with alcohol.
Minister Sikorski had an interview with Deputy Minister Szejna and received assurances from him, which are reflected in any way in Mr Szejna's communication
said Wronski.
According to him, “the case consists of respective layers”.
From the point of view of the ministry, they do not concern the activities of Minister Szejna as Vice-Chief of the Ministry, but as associate and associate of the Coalition Political Party
He noted.
As for his work in the resort, it is simply a very good tool that verifies the veracity of his statements – that he fights against addiction and does so effectively. This is simply a safety survey that is being checked by the ABW. If there is information that this declaration, which we should believe in, is not true, we will know it
said Wronski.
‘There has been no specified accident with us”
When asked if there were any signals that Szejna would appear in the Ministry of abroad Affairs or as part of his duties in the ministry under the influence of alcohol, the MFA spokesperson pointed out that Sikorski “stands in our position that there were no specified failures on the part of Minister Szejna” and that he performed his duties “in an appropriate way”.
He stressed that if there were any reservations about Szejna's work as the deputy chief of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Sikorski would “be certain to work”.
Wronski, questioned whether Szejna was to be resigned, suspended, or to have any kind of work break related to the current situation, denied.
For now, I don't have any information that there's specified a break at Vice Minister Szejna's work. We are waiting for his declaration to be verified. If it reflects on his work at the MFA, then, of course, Minister Sikorski will take appropriate steps. We do not have (know) any specified cases as to show this
said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Diplomacy.
It must be admitted that Minister Sikorski is simply a very knowing supervisor, for the nature of the wellness problems of the subordinate and yet – the workplace itself. We are talking – let us remind – not about the first “koppo” but about the Ministry of abroad Affairs, which is 1 of the most crucial ministries for the safety of the state.
