
Should Donald Tusk hand over government controls to Radosław Sikorski? Shortly after the presidential election, it was said that if alternatively of Rafał Trzaskowski, the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Karol Nawrocki, had not become president. In turn, after the reconstruction of the government, as a consequence of which Sikorski received the portfolio of Deputy Prime Minister, it was promised that the Minister of Diplomacy could shortly replace Donald Tusk in the Prime Minister's seat. In a survey conducted by SW Research, respondents were asked the following question: ‘Would Radosław Sikorski be a better Prime Minister than Donald Tusk?’.
According to the highest percent of respondents (34.7%), this would not make any difference if Sikorski had replaced Tusk. 26.8 percent of respondents believe that the head of the MFA would be a better prime minister than the current president of the Council of Ministers. 15 percent of respondents stated that Sikorski would not do better than Tusk, and 23 percent of respondents did not express an opinion on this issue.
The survey was conducted on a group of 800 adult users of the SW Panel on 5-6 August 2025.
Most Poles for Donald Tusk's resignation
If not Sikorski, then who? In another survey a small over a week ago – a survey by United Surveys for “Virtual Poland” – Poles were asked about Donald Tusk's possible resignation and the majority were in favour of resigning the Prime Minister. 48.6% of the respondents then expressed the opinion that Tusk should resign. 43.8 percent of respondents opposed the resignation of the head of government.
The United Surveys by IBRiS survey for Virtual Poland was conducted utilizing CATI/CAWI method on July 25-27 on a example of 1,000 adults.
