President Andrzej Duda interviewed the Euronews portal on Wednesday, in which he expressed his belief that only the United States could halt Russia in the current conflict. He pointed out that Ukraine would gotta compromise to end the war, and both sides would be forced to compromise.

– Today, my proposal is absolutely unambiguous - there is no 1 outside the United States who can halt Vladimir Putin. Therefore, I believe that president Donald Trump can lead to the end of this war," said Duda.

The president stressed that the American force would be crucial to developing a lasting peace, although it would not be comfortable for either party.

Referring to the war in Ukraine, he said "It must be a compromise". He pointed out that in his individual opinion, this peace should come down to the fact that "none of the parties will be able to say that they won this war, due to the fact that each organization in any sense will gotta give up." However, it did not specify to what degree Ukraine would step down.

He added, "War exhausts Russia, Vladimir Putin runs a risky game. This war is in a terrible way exploiting Ukraine. These countries want to end the war. Each of them wants to win this war, it's natural."
