Russia has a serious problem that can importantly impede its fight against the West. It is simply a deficiency of ideology, an thought that would not only unify the nation but would besides be attractive, at least acceptable outside Russia.
Imperial Russia in the 19th century utilized Orthodox Christianity and the thought of panslawism. This she explained both her push towards Bosphorus and her dominance in the Balkans and in east Europe. This did not work in Poland due to the fact that Poles were Catholics and felt like part of the West, but it worked well in most another Slavic countries (Bulgaria, Serbia and so on).
The USSR, in turn, had a communist idea, which was, by definition, internationalistic, so it could be promoted virtually everywhere.
Today, both of these ideas seem weak to us, but they were not. It seems unusual that individual could seriously believe in communism, but there were millions of specified people all over the planet (and, let's add, working conditions and surviving conditions of most European societies and both Americas were hard adequate that the thought of promising a better life not many but everyone was accepted positively).
However, regardless of the possible criticism of these ideas, their essential feature was that they were. Meanwhile, the present Russia does not have much in the ideological layer to propose beyond vague "traditional values" and "democratic multicentric order". ‘Traditional values’ are a alternatively weak argument outside Russia, though possibly strong internally. "Democratic multicentric order in the world" is something that can talk to politicians and elites of the states of the "global south" but does not appeal to average people. In addition, China has a stronger proposal in this area.
China has a kind of ‘para-idea’, which is ‘Chinese model’. Although it is besides an attractive model primarily for elites, it is, however, a much stronger proposal than the Russian 1 due to the fact that it is based on a genuine Chinese economical success. In 40 years China has passed from a mediocre backward country, where many people have suffered hunger and poorness to an advanced technological power, where more and more people are wealthy even for European standards. The Chinese proposal for elites, mainly Asia and Africa, is this: “Look, we have managed to get people out of poorness without losing power, more than that, these people accept and support the power of monoparty due to the fact that it has brought them prosperity. You can too.”
Of course, you can say that the West is besides a non-ideoic, but that is not entirely true. This full LGBT "ideology" that the West so promotes speaks to people on the rule of an orgasm promise without limit. In another words, you can – excuse me for the word – fuck all you want, everything is fine. But also, you can not work hard and inactive have good. This is not a "great idea" – but works on many due to the fact that it appeals to the low but strong desires of people, especially those not spiritually developed.
Russian elites should definitely consider the thought on which they could build Russia's attractiveness and its way of seeing planet relations in the 21st century. He writes and talks about it Dugin, writes and talks about it Fursov and many another Russian patriot thinkers. Unfortunately, he does not seem to be able to scope Russia's ruling technocratic elites. This may be because, as a generation of "orphans" after the USSR, they are not only blind but may even fear the idea.
