For the first time in history, a ship belonging to the U.S. Navy came to India to make repairs at a local shipyard. This is evidence of trust on the part of the Americans: both for the Indian shipbuilding manufacture and for India itself as an ally who had previously balanced between the United States and the Russian Federation.
