Second edition of the Janusz Korczak Prize. Meet the nominees! Final Gala 18 May

More than 100 applications were received by the Janusz Korczak Prize, which has been awarded by the Korczak University since last year. The Bureau of the Chapter nominated 20 people and 20 institutions. We will meet the winners of the award on 18 May during the gala at the Museum of the past of Polish Jews in Warsaw. registry your share.

The aim of the Prize funded by the Korczak University is to promote The thought of Janusz Korczak and support changes in education by rewarding institutions and people who follow and implement the values of Korczakowski, make modern and courageous educational solutions, consistently support the subjectivity and rights of the kid and care for the protection of these rights, support children and families in hard situations or make an environment that is friendly to happy childhood.

The award is awarded by the Chapter in 3 categories:

  • for organisations and institutions that follow the values of cork,
  • for persons – local leaders applying the Korczak ideas in practice,
  • for public persons working for children and young people.

This is the second edition of the competition, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of Korczak University and 3 decades of promotion of Korczak values by us. all year we will reward people who change education, inspire, care for the rights of children and young people. We are looking for those who are the essence of good, humanistic, respect for the dignity of all human being and the diversity of education and concern for children's rights
