The debate will be broadcast by private stations Polsat News and TVN24, as well as by a public broadcaster, or TVP. Piotr Zgorzelski commented on the issue, pointing out that he does not head having "two candidates, in consultation with private television, organised themselves a debate due to the fact that that is the law of the free market," he said in Polsat News.
However, Zgorzelski pointed out the participation of TVP and the fact that only 2 candidates would participate in the debate. “However, I am outraged by the fact that I am active in this full Public tv event, which is obliged to organize a debate for all candidates,” said Piotr Zgorzelski.
He added: "I am profoundly disgusted by the fact that with various tricks it is attempted to destruct those candidates who, according to the organizers, have seats below the first and the second.
Zgorzelski noted that assuming that "the first 2 candidates have about 55% of support in the polls", it means that nearly half of citizens would like to vote for individual else who would not be included in this debate. “Why do we so deprive citizens of proceeding their candidates?” he asked.
Debate in Koński
As we wrote in naTemat.pl, on Wednesday Rafał Trzaskowski challenged the PiS organization candidate. – Mr. Karol Nawrocki, I hear you want to debate. Come in. On Thursday, details were announced concerning the organisation of the debate between Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki.
"Television Polska S.A. expresses readiness to produce a signal from the "Pre-Election Debate" in Koński with the participation of candidates for the Office of the president of Poland: Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski. TVP SA, TVN 24 and Polsat News are ready to broadcast and release free of charge tv signal to another curious media," reported the published document. It was stressed that "TVs are not the organizer of the debate".
The debates included Joanna Danikowska-Paź (TVP), Grzegorz Kajdanowicz (TVN24) and Piotr Witwicki (Polsat News).
Karol Nawrocki spoke again in the evening. "We want a debate with Rafał Trzaskowski on Friday in Konski. We want it to be organized by 5 TVs – TVP in liquidation, Polsat, TVN, tv Republika and in Poland24. This is the position we sent in consequence to the latest letter from TVP. Mr Rafale, courage!" he said online.
