If John Paul II is to run for election from the letter of the Law and the opposition is to be "against JP2", this may be an attractive and stimulating division for any right-wing voters. In this context, it is no wonder that the PSL supported the Sejm's resolution in defence of the Pope, and most of the opposition abstained, taking the PiS's action as dishonesty.
