Zdjęcie: SAFE na tle defilady. PiS zarzuca MON polityczny marketing

To Things, he states that Mateusz Kurzejewski from PiS criticized the promotion of the SAFE program by MON on the occasion of the Polish Army holiday. The allegation concerns the presentation of defilade equipment in a favourable Union context for the government. The point of the dispute is: the Polish army is to service Warsaw, not PR Brussels.

Password dispute and the sense of modernisation

According to The Thing, PiS Vice-President Mateusz Kurzejewski struck the Ministry of National Defence for utilizing the SAFE program on the occasion of the Polish Army. The hotel is celebrating "Poland SAFE – safe Poland", and the parade is to show modern equipment of the Polish Army.

The PiS accuses the government of trying to politically attach the presented equipment to the EU program. It is simply a dispute over communication, but besides about a deeper matter: whether the modernization of the army is to be told as a national strategy or as a product with a European label.

Credit does not replace sovereignty

Poland can usage European financial instruments if they are beneficial and do not restrict decisions of the State. However, the boundary is clear. The army cannot be built according to the logic of the promotional run or under another political conditions.

Security requires production in the country, control of orders, ammunition supplies and unchangeable doctrine. If SAFE is just a financial tool, we request to talk about it fairly. If it is intended to decision decision-making to Brussels, the right is required to beat the alarm.

The Defiled Belongs to Soldiers

August 15 is simply a 1920 triumph feast and a soldier holiday. It should not be a day of covering up disputes over credit, dependency and political marketing. Poles will see equipment on Wisłostrad, but besides want to know who paid for it, where it will be serviced and whether decisions are made in the Polish interest.

A strong army does not arise from a password. It comes from a sovereign strategy, industrial work, training and consequences. If the government forgets this, even the best defilement will not cover the basic question: who truly controls the modernization of the Polish defence?
