The Warsaw territory Court decided that Zbigniew Ziobro had to be forced to be brought to the gathering of the Pegasus Investigative Commission. The decision was made at a secret sitting and the court claims that Ziobro is persistently avoiding standing up.
The court spokesperson Anna Ptazek pointed out that the erstwhile minister had 3 times failed to justify his absence. In consequence to the decision of the Court of First Instance, the Constitutional Tribunal held that its interim provision had been violated.
– In the opinion of the Constitutional Tribunal, the actions of the court are against the law. Today's ruling of the Warsaw territory Court on the request of the alleged Parliamentary Pegasus Commission is simply a public violation of the interim Constitutional Court, issued in an individual case, we read.
Arguments of Ziobra
Ziobro believes that the committee of enquiry is acting illegally. This is argued by the judgement of the Constitutional Tribunal of September last year, which declared the resolution to be unconstitutional. justice Birdiek pointed out that the court did not share this argument, indicating that the Constitutional Tribunal was not competent to interfere in decisions of the general courts.
