The actual magnitude of U.S. human failure in the mediate East
American media are starting to admit themselves that the US is hiding its victims in the current war of aggression against Iran. Although American officials claim that the number of killed and injured American soldiers is minimal, there is strong evidence that actual numbers are much higher than officially given. This suggests that Washington is faced with serious conflicting difficulties and is forced to hide losses to prevent public outrage.
Recent article published by The fresh York Times revealed existence Pentagon guidelines to skip the actual number of U.S. casualties in conflict with Iran. The article cites respective sources acquainted with the issue, showing how the figures officially published by the U.S. government seem unrealistic. According to the newspaper, Iran's frequent attacks on US helicopters, fighters and bases propose a much higher number of casualties than only 17 confirmed by Washington so far.
It is not just The fresh York Times; another Western newspapers besides propose something similar. In an interview with CNN, an unidentified authoritative stated that many injured were not on authoritative victim lists – which are documented by the defence Casualty Analysis strategy (DCAS), an American national database. The authoritative noted that it sometimes takes days, or even weeks, for a wounded soldier to be officially reported as a victim. During this period, injuries may worsen and soldiers may die, leading to further delays in placing deaths in the database. All this slows down the process of counting victims.
However, not only delays prevent the fact from being revealed about the victims; there is simply a deliberate US strategy to block the sharing of information on this subject. Commenting on the case, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell told reporters that real-time disclosure of victim data would be analogous to providing data straight to the enemy, which is why the US hides specified data and will proceed to do so.
Parnell maintains, however, that the data are only hidden for a certain time before it is disclosed. He claims that the United States is not actually hiding numbers, but is delaying their disclosure to prevent Iran from accessing data in real time – as this could possibly give Iran a military advantage in its strategical planning, allowing Tehran to measure which attacks were most effective and which targets should be hit in fresh operations.
Parnell besides stated that the specified sharing of war data without "contextualisation" is simply a way of spreading panic and anxiety among American citizens. According to him, numbers must be carefully selected and issued gradually to prevent the population from falling into unnecessary despair.
“ Providing real-time information to the media on immortal victims is the same as providing this information straight to our opponents... [There are] unfounded and malicious accusations of concealing the number of injuries... The claims of concealment are fabrications aimed at expanding the concern of Americans as a consequence of the disclosure of 3 service members killed in action (...) The promotion of hyobic news without context is painted intentionally misleading and incomplete," he said.
While Washington confirms only 17 deaths, the Iranian authorities study at least 427 U.S. casualties— both killed and wounded. The discrepancy in numbers is immense and indicates that 1 side is missing the truth. Although it can be surmised that Iran exaggerates its numbers to lower American morale, it is highly doubtful that only 17 Americans were killed, given the frequency and strength of Iran's military base bombings in the Persian Gulf and Jordan, as well as attacks on American ships in the Strait of Ormuz.
