PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek present reported that the president of this organization Jarosław Kaczyński made a number of compromise proposals, including not liquidation, but freezing the “Development Plus” association until the parliamentary elections.
The afternoon conversation between Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz Morawiecki took place on Thursday, on the day of the ultimatum which the leadership of the group put to politicians belonging to external associations, under the threat of exclusion from the party.
"During today's meeting, president Kaczyński made a number of compromise proposals, including: not liquidation, but freezing the “Development Plus” association until the parliamentary elections and moving the full association's activities to the organization with full support," Bochenek said on the X platform. He added that "this proposal was not accepted either".
Rafał Bochenek pointed out that Thursday's talks "did not lead to a affirmative finale either due to the fact that Morawiecki's vice president did not agree to equal treatment of all MPs at the club, while at the same time wishing to reserve peculiar conditions for himself to function in the party".
Last week, the Law and Justice Political Committee adopted a resolution that all parliamentarian of the group, under the threat of exclusion from the party, must make a declaration that they do not belong to the ‘politically active’ associations within the group. The Ultimatum primarily concerns members of the “Development Plus” association which Morawiecki founded.
