The Sejm has given a vote of assurance to the current government. There were 243 MPs, against 210.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk asked for the decision and the vote, after candidate for the Civic Platform Rafał Trzaskowski lost in the presidential race.
On the morning of June 11, the Prime Minister gave an hourly speech on government plans, national safety and social affairs. Later Members had time to ask him questions. The number of volunteers was record-breaking – 267 people.
After 4:00 p.m., Members present in the plenary area decided that the Donald Tusk government would not be cancelled. If it had been otherwise, then president Andrzej Duda would have pointed out the fresh ministers.
