Problems with TVP
President Duda, vetoing the budget bill, took PLN 3 billion from public media, which was originally meant to scope them. Now they will go to oncology and kid psychiatry, while it is inactive unclear how the following entities will be financed: TVP, Polish Radio and PAP. In addition, there are 2 authorities in these institutions. PiS does not respect the actions of the Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz and insists that there has been a "attack" on the public media. Meanwhile, Richard Petru stated that the veto of the president should be ignored, which, of course, seems absurd and illegal.
Petru supports the liquidation of TVP
Let us point out that the erstwhile leader of Modern is not a supporter of the continued existence of public television.
— I've been in favour of liquidation for a long time. I think that if something is very broken, the renovation is much more costly and there is no anticipation of full repair said Ryszard Petru, asked by journalists about the thought of liquidating TVP.
Petru would like to introduce a peculiar fund to cover TVP:
