Ryanair has implemented 2 policies very powerfully since the beginning of the year. First, he began carefully verifying whether passengers were carrying besides much baggage on board. The second amendment concerns "zero tolerance policy" for drunk and aggressive people. Both of these rules were applied to a passenger from Krakow who did not realize why he was yet not allowed to board an Ryanair aircraft to Alicante, Spain.
The problem with Ryanair started with baggage control
The event described by "Gazeta Wyborcza" took place on February 20th, but the tourist decided only now to print the issue. As reported in the interview with journalists, a man, just before flying to Alicante, a typical of Ryanair asked her to put her luggage in the sizer to check if it was besides big.
The passenger then decided to comment on the issue. – We put the bags in the rack with dimensions and the bags were fine. I told that woman that I always had a problem with my bag in the Ryanair line due to the fact that it looks big, but it fits. I do not know why you were so upset with specified attention," said Mr Marcin.
After this comment, the airport worker noted that the passenger's spouse had a kidney attached, which was received as additional baggage for which the fee should be charged. The passenger claims that he replied at the time that the kidney would fit in the luggage. At this point, however, the typical of Ryanair pointed out the way Mr Marcin spoke.
In the end, with Ryanair from Krakow, he did not fly anywhere
As reported by the "Election" man, the Ryanair typical found that he was seemingly drunk. She was besides to add that he was aggressive to another passengers and so would not board the plane. Nor did they explain that the voice was altered after the illness.
– I don't realize why my wife hasn't spoken yet. We went to airport security, they instructed me to call the police best. I did it. The survey of the breathalyst showed nothing – explained the passenger who has a police note to confirm his words.
Ryanair explains that it does not tolerate aggressive passengers
The journalists of "Gazeta Wyborcza" contacted Ryanair to get comments on the case. “When boarding, agents asked passengers to put a ten-kilogram hand baggage in the baggage sorting machine, but passengers refused and became aggressive towards goal staff. Therefore, the agents refused to board them, as described by Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska from Ryanair.
Her relation is definitely different from that presented by the passenger. The man yet flew to Alicante from Wrocław, but it cost him over PLN 3,000 (new tickets and taxi to the airport). If he wants his money back, he can claim compensation from Ryanair. There are the same rules as overbooking, unless the responsibility was on the passenger side. If the carrier doesn't pay it, the case may, though it doesn't have to, go to court.
