Rutte: Consent on spending and supporting Ukraine, US upholds commitments

In the conclusion declaration of the Hague summit, the leaders agreed to increase defence spending to 5 percent of GDP - 3.5 percent for "hard defence" - military and equipment specified as air defense, ammunition, drones and tanks - and 1.5 percent for enhancing resilience, for example by investing in infrastructure. Rutte besides assured that the U.S. had confirmed their obligations under the Alliance membership.
