Krzysztof Rutkowski flew from Warsaw to Chisinau on 26 August to search for MP Marcin Romanowski, a fishy in the Justice Fund. For real information about his whereabouts, he awarded a $10,000 prize. However, a private action does not replace police and prosecutorial action.
Flight to Chisinau and Transnistria
Krzysztof Rutkowski left Chopin Airport for Moldova on 26 August in the afternoon. He announced that he would meet his squad there and check information on the possible stay of Marcin Romanowski in Moldova, Transnistria or 1 of the neighboring countries. These are the hypotheses presented by Rutkowski, not the confirmed findings of law enforcement.
Rutkowski declared a prize of $10,000 for a concrete, real message allowing to find the whereabouts of the politician. The results of its activities shall be communicated to the competent services. Before that, he had besides publically identified another directions, so all declaration he made must be considered as a lead to investigate, not as evidence.
Moldova has not yet confirmed an earlier lead on Romanowski. It's an crucial reservation. In a case that has long been plagued by a strong political dispute, the State must trust on documents, global cooperation and procedure, not on a media spectacle.
The MP is suspected, not convicted
Marcin Romanowski, MP and erstwhile Deputy Minister of Justice, is suspected in the Justice Fund investigation. The National Prosecutor's Office reported on 19 alleged acts. The politician has not been convicted, so there is simply a presumption of innocence. At the same time, it has a national BOLO and a European Arrest Order.
The National Prosecutor's Office confirms that global searches are being conducted towards Romanowski. In May 2026, investigators asked the Hungarian authorities for information on the implementation of ENA. The D.A. besides checked whether another people helped the suspects avoid criminal liability.
The territory Court in Warsaw in February 2026 reissued ENA towards Romanowski. The latest motion to revoke this order was rejected. This is now the most crucial legal point of reference, not statements by media participants.
The State cannot give the private field to the crew
