They do not spare insults, especially after the invasion of Ukraine, and at best they underestimate. The vast majority of Russians do not think about Poland at all. fewer people justice us sober, without emotion. And there are those who sympathize with us – despite war, despite propaganda, after all.

– Barking chihuahua, just like the Baltics. They talk a lot about Russia, reasoning that they matter, but Russia does not care about them due to the fact that Poland has no geographical or cultural significance.

– Poles drowned in anti-Russian narrative. They see their past as a chain of harm done to them by Russians, Germans, Western Ukrainians. Even the Slovaks. The British who betrayed them. The French who betrayed them. All bad.

– Before the war I had affirmative or neutral opinions about them, only general cognition of their beautiful Slavic culture, Chopin, Copernicus, food etc. Their comments [on the Internet] Made me halt liking them. They are past revisionists (only Russia is evil, Russia is guilty of the USSR, and Poland was good, did nothing politically wrong) and just malicious people.

– The fact is that Russians usually do not care about Poland and Poles. We don't have any peculiar stereotypes or anything like that. Poland was not mentioned until February 24 [a war detonation in Ukraine]. The Russians were amazed to discover how much Poles hated them, and then there were voices that Poland was a puppet of the United States.

– I knew before that Poles did not like us. They demanded any kind of reparation, apology. erstwhile you travel across Europe, you see a individual who treats you arrogantly, it is simply a 100 percent Baltic or Pole.

– I have no circumstantial view of Poles; for me they are Europeans. We besides have any common cultural basis, so random Poles can show more cultural similarities to me than, say, Spaniards. I heard they're rusophobic, but I don't have any evidence of that. I've been there many times before the war, I've never experienced problems. I want the Poles all the best. I recognise their contribution to the problem of Ukrainian refugees and I believe they are very good people.

– I have mixed feelings towards Poland. On the 1 hand, I've been there respective times and it's always been nice. Delicious food, mostly friendly people, a very beautiful country. I was fortunate I didn't see any signs of rusophobia. I found inexpensive board games there. Looking through them, I felt I could realize a lot even without an interpreter. It was a pleasant feeling for the brotherhood of Slavic languages. On the another hand, I know that politically our countries have been and are rivals, and that any people on both sides have HOLDING hatred. Those full of hatred are always the loudest. It's sad.

– I think it's a shame we can't visit openly anymore. because of all this tension, but at the same time I do not know why people in Russia cannot stand up and protest, as most of the occupied Central Europe during the USSR did.
