On Thursday (6 July), Reuter's agency reported that 2 Russian corvettes, Gromkiy and Sovriemienney, wrapped in a port in Shanghai, east China, where they would take part in the exercises. At the turn of June and July, both units sailed around Taiwan and Japan, causing concern to the authorities of both countries.
