The procedure for hiring minors will be simplified in Russia. The applicable bill went to the State Duma.

The Committee invited experts from the Ministry of wellness and the Ministry of Labour to approve the methodological recommendations for determining the jobs recommended for the employment of minors. In the opinion of Members, this will aid the executive authorities to approve regional lists of specified jobs, taking into account the specificities of local labour markets.
One of the co-authors of the project, Vice-President of the Commission for Youth Policy Mikhail Kisielev, stressed that according to the Ministry of Labour all year in Russia 520,000 people under the age of 18 are employed, but request in this category continues to exceed supply.
He besides stressed that the complicated employment procedure creates dangerous precedents for unofficial employment of teenagers – in specified cases it is more hard to defend their rights.
