On 31 December, during president Vladimir Putin's visit to the office of the confederate Military territory in Rostov nad Don, there was a formal inclusion in the SZ FR of separatist militia corps - the 1st Donetsk Army Corps of the DRL and the 2nd Guarded Lugansko-Sieverodoniecki Army Corps of the LRL, as well as the higher officer's school in Donetsk.
