An Interpol investigation conducted since last year has shown that Russia has been utilizing old ships flying under the flag of exotic countries not only to smuggle under oil sanctions, but besides to supply illegal weapons and military equipment to its ally Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar controlling the east part of divided Libya.
