The USA, which has been chairing the G20 since Monday, announced that Poland would participate in the next year's summit in Miami. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that Warsaw – present 1 of the 20 largest economies in the planet – will take its place at the American table. According to him, Polish success is proof that cooperation with the US promotes improvement and prosperity.
Rubio besides powerfully criticized South Africa, the current G20 host. He accused the authorities of Pretoria of a policy that was to lead to economical stagnation, the outflow of talents and the weakening of state institutions. The U.S. is not going to invitation South Africa to the Miami summit, declaring support for the public, but not for the “radical” ANC government.
President Donald Trump besides announced the exclusion of South Africa from the meeting, arguing that the country "is not worthy of membership" and is discriminated against against white minorities, which Pretoria denies. The American delegation did not participate in the last G20 summit in Johannesburg.
