RPO's letter on Evening. Will the minister resign?

The Ombudsman Marcin Wiązek wrote to Dariusz Wieczorek asking for “a copy of the papers referred to in the press publications, including those received from the president of the trade union, as well as the Ministry's correspondence with the University of Szczecin on the matter”. The RPO besides requests clarifications on the reasons why the ministry forwarded the letter to the Rector. In addition, it expects information on the activities undertaken by the ministry in relation to possible irregularities at the University of Szczecin.

In response, she sent another letter to the Minister, complaining of disclosure of her data, which was besides passed on to the Rector, and the university reported a suspected crime against Fostiak.

The University of Szczecin, responding to the situation as a whole, disagreed with Fostiak's allegations, which seems illogical, given the documentation it provided.

Will there be a resignation?

Many people, including opposition politicians, are awaiting the resignation of the minister. PiS MPs have applied for a vote of no assurance in Evening. In fresh days, a spokesperson for the Minister, Natalia Żyto, and a manager of the Department of University Organisations, Education and Student Affairs, have left the Ministry of Science.
