Touch Me and See
Jesus said these words erstwhile he appeared to the apostles on Sunday evening. They were shocked by the appearance of the Savior and thought they saw the spirit, not the actual Christ in His glorified body. Jesus invited them to look closely at his hands and feet, and contact him and persuade him it's truly him. Jesus even asked them to give him something to eat as further proof that he was in his resurrected body. They then gave him roasted fish and honeycomb, and Jesus ate before them. The bones of the fish remained there as evidence of his actual presence.
Remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, present and forever. It appears in a remarkable way to those who are gracious to remind believers of certain truths. He frequently besides calls them in various ways to repent and to believe in him. But Jesus promised his spiritual presence besides to us, saying: “He who eats My Body and My Blood drinks, abides in Me, and I in HimIt’s okay. ” We can be united by spirit through religion with Christ, who spiritually abides within us through baptism and the grace of God, unless we are in grave sin. Jesus promises not only that he will be with us all days, but besides that he will stay with us. This presence of Christ is spiritual, but real. It is only erstwhile we pass the threshold of time and enter the dimension of eternity that we see Jesus face to face. And not only that—the spiritual unity that we are in Him, and He in us, we will experience already in the light of the glory of God. But for now we are on earth, where we experience the spiritual conflict for faithfulness to the Lord Jesus, the observance of His commandments and the preservation of faith, which is especially essential at the minute erstwhile He calls us from this temporary earthly journey to eternity.
