Kaczyński’s conversation with Morawiecki ended with an impasse. Different versions of events

No compromise

The talks between Mateusz Morawiecki and Jarosław Kaczyński ended at the office of Law and Justice. Immediately after the meeting, they presented their positions to PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek and Piotr Müller, associated with the association of the erstwhile Prime Minister. On Thursday around 15 o'clock from the premises of the building on Nowogrodzka Street the car, which Morawiecki was travelling, drove away. The journalists on the scene tried to get a comment from him about the completed talks, but the politician did not halt and didn't open the window.

In his entry published just after the gathering of the politician and spokesperson for the Law and Justice, Rafał Bochenek revealed:

The talks were constructive, although they did not lead to a fundamental case. All parliamentarians in our political environment have the same rights, but besides obligations.

Rafał Bochenek recalled that statements about organization membership could be made by the end of Thursday, while stressing the importance of unity of patriotic environments. He informed that the gathering of Jarosław Kaczyński with Mateusz Morawiecki ended without agreement.

According to the PiS spokesman, the president of the organization proposed, among others, a temporary suspension of the improvement plus association's activities to parliamentary elections and the transfer of its activities to the PiS structures. Morawiecki, however, was not to accept this proposal. Bochenek besides pointed out the deficiency of agreement of the erstwhile Prime Minister to equal treatment for all Members and his anticipation of peculiar conditions of operation in the party. He besides informed that Kaczyński had signed the PiS Membership Declaration and called for unity of the group.

Not in private

According to Onetu, the conversation was not only bilateral from the outset. The first part of the gathering was besides attended by Jacek Sasin and Piotr Milowański, the general secretary of the Law and Justice and 1 of the closest collaborators of Jarosław Kaczyński. The participation of the erstwhile Deputy Prime Minister is seen as the deliberate decision of Jarosław Kaczyński. According to 1 of the interviewers, Sasin was to pass on the position of president in matters Kaczyński himself did not want to talk straight about.

Mueller against “loyals”

After the meeting, Mr Piotr Müller, a close associate of Mateusz Morawiecki, presented the position. He informed that talks with Jarosław Kaczyński were in good faith, and the erstwhile Prime Minister's environment proposed 21 solutions to end the conflict and rebuild common trust.

Müller stressed that the improvement Plus association was intended to grow the centre-right electorate and strengthen the full political camp. He besides rejected allegations concerning its financing and opposed the signing of statements, alleged "loyals", which he considered to be a form of political pressure.

He assured that Morawiecki's environment is inactive seeking agreement, but will not accept solutions seen as humiliating.
