AMMAN- Royal Jordanian (RJ) has confirmed a major expansion to its United States network with the launch of nonstop flights from Amman (AMM) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), beginning May 2026. The new service will operate 4 times weekly.
The move strengthens Royal Jordanian’s US presence while taking advantage of Dallas-Fort Worth’s role as American Airlines’ largest hub, offering passengers new connectivity across the western United States and beyond.

Royal Jordanian New Dallas Flights
Starting May 10, 2026, Royal Jordanian will fly nonstop from Amman (AMM) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The planned schedule is as follows:
- RJ291: AMM – DFW, departing 10:40 AM, arriving 5:05 PM
- RJ292: DFW – AMM, departing 10:55 PM, arriving 8:00 PM (+1 day)
The route covers 7,036 miles, making it Royal Jordanian’s longest flight. Westbound, the journey is blocked at 14 hours 25 minutes, while the eastbound return is 13 hours 5 minutes.
The airline will use its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, seating 270 passengers. This includes 24 business class seats in a 2-2-2 layout and 246 economy seats.
While this cabin lacks Wi-Fi and offers a dated configuration, the airline has new aircraft and upgrades on the way.

Importance of Dallas-Fort Worth
Dallas-Fort Worth is a logical next step for Royal Jordanian’s transatlantic growth. The region is home to one of the largest Middle Eastern and international communities in the United States, creating a strong base of demand for travel to Amman and beyond.
More importantly, DFW is the primary hub for American Airlines, Royal Jordanian’s oneworld alliance partner.
This partnership opens up seamless onward connections to dozens of cities across North America, particularly the southern and western United States.
For travelers in Texas and nearby states, the Amman flight provides a convenient new link to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
According to OMAAT, this expansion aligns with Royal Jordanian’s broader strategy of strengthening its long-haul network while leveraging alliance hubs for connectivity.

Current US and Canadian Destinations
With the addition of Dallas, Royal Jordanian will serve 7 destinations in North America. The airline already operates flights to:
- Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
- Detroit (DTW)
- Montreal (YUL)
- New York John F. Kennedy (JFK)
- Toronto Pearson (YYZ)
- Washington Dulles (IAD)
This growing list demonstrates Royal Jordanian’s commitment to building stronger links between Amman and major North American markets.

Fleet Expansion and New Business Class
Royal Jordanian is currently in the midst of a major fleet renewal. The long-haul fleet today consists of 7 Boeing 787-8s, but the airline has 6 Boeing 787-9s on order, set to nearly double its widebody capacity starting in 2026.
The Royal Jordanian Boeing 787-9s will introduce a new long-haul business class cabin in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout, providing all passengers direct aisle access.
Early images released via Dallas Fort Worth Airport confirm the product to be the Collins Aerospace Elements seat, the same advanced design found on airlines like Starlux.
Each 787-9 will seat 309 passengers, including 31 in business class and 278 in economy. Importantly, Royal Jordanian also plans to retrofit its 787-8 fleet with the new cabin to ensure consistency across its Dreamliner operations.
Dallas is not the final step in Royal Jordanian’s North American expansion. The airline previously outlined Miami (MIA) as its next US destination, followed by Los Angeles (LAX).
These routes, combined with new aircraft deliveries, will provide broader access to both the US East Coast and West Coast, further enhancing the airline’s position in transatlantic travel.

Bottom Line
Royal Jordanian will launch nonstop flights from Amman (AMM) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) on May 10, 2026. The route will operate 4 times per week on Boeing 787-8 aircraft and stand as the airline’s longest nonstop service.
The choice of Dallas makes strategic sense, offering access to a large Middle Eastern community and extensive onward connectivity through American Airlines’ hub.
With new Boeing 787-9s arriving in 2026 and a fleetwide business class upgrade planned, Royal Jordanian is entering a new phase of long-haul growth that strengthens its competitive position across the Atlantic.
