30 medical evacuation vehicles and a twelve command vehicles on the KTO chassis Rosomak will go to the Polish Army under 2 agreements with a full value of over PLN 900 million signed in Siemianowice Śląski. The second is the contracts concluded under the Polish part of contracts with SAFE. Before the MON, multinational contracts under this EU programme will be signed later.
"3 days, 62 contracts, 120 billion PLN for the Polish arms industry. I study the execution of the task. This is the Polish SAFE. Ps. In 3 days we contracted more in the Polish manufacture than the PiS for 8 years" wrote Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, the government's typical for the instrument for increased security, on platform X. It thus referred to the conclusion of the three-day "marathon" of signing contracts with Union debt strategy SAFE.
According to the rules of the programme, the national agreements to be financed from these funds had to be concluded by the end of May. However, these are not all contracts that will be financed with SAFE. Time limits do not apply to multi-national agreements: bilateral and multilateral agreements which will be signed later.
The last contracts with the “Polish” part of SAFE were signed present in Rosomak S.A. in Siemianowice Śląski. Gen. Dyw. Artur Kuptel, Head of the Armed Forces Agency, in the presence of Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, and Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, concluded contracts for the transportation of wagons on the chassis Rosomak wheel transporters 8x8.
The first concerns 30 vehicles of medical evacuation (WEM), vehicles intended for medical evacuation and battalion support K2GF and K2PL tanks. The value of the contract is over PLN 500 million net, and its implementation is planned until 2028. The second contract includes respective command cars (WDs), besides for K2 subdivisions with a net value of about PLN 400 million, with transportation dates between 2026 and 2029.
– For the Silesian Voivodeship, the arms manufacture becomes a fresh flywheel. It is here that fresh companies can be located and here, not only in the state industry, but besides in private industry, fresh initiatives are born," said the Deputy Prime Minister at the office of Rosomak. He besides noted the tremendous industrial possible of this province. – People who will finish their work in mines will find better employment in the arms industry. This is simply a very crucial signal for this region – Kosiniak-Kamish emphasized.
The SAFE Government Plenipotentiary recalled that although on 30 May this is the last day to make alleged stand-alone purchases from SAFE funds, they do not end purchases in the Polish arms industry. That's another lie they tried to tell us. Over the coming weeks we will sign further contracts erstwhile abroad partners will invest in the Polish arms industry," Sobkowiak-Czarnecka stressed.
Rosomak in 2 incarnations
Mr Wem This is an armored medical evacuation vehicle designed to operate in the field of combat, whose task is to rapidly take the injured and to transport them safely to further stages of medical assistance. On board, basic assistance may be provided, including wound dressing, stabilization of victims and life support. The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 3 injured in a lying position while providing ergonomic working conditions for medical personnel. The crew are the commander of the car, the driver-mechanist, the wellness officer and 2 paramedics.
Rosomak WD is utilized to plan, coordinate and manage fire support of sub-chapters. It allows the improvement of command stations, the collection and analysis of data on fire conditions, as well as the processing of reconnaissance information essential to harm the objectives of the opponent. With advanced mobility and good traction properties, it can operate on both roads and in hard terrain. The WD Rosomaki will be part of the Basic Combat Module, creating a subsystem providing the anticipation of autonomous operation of K2GF and K2PL tank battalions.
The Polish Army is presently implementing respective implementing agreements on various versions of Rosomak transporters. These include the transportation of fresh combat vehicles equipped with unmanned ZSSW-30 towers, the order of extended Rosomaków-L, as well as specialist vehicles specified as method reconnaissance vehicles (WRTs), medical evacuation vehicles and method assistance vehicles (WPTs). Thanks to these contracts, not only the fleet of basic armoured transporters is being developed, but besides the full household of support vehicles based on the Rosomak platform, which is 1 of the pillars of equipment for land troops.
SAFE for the Polish Army
The EU's safety Action For Europe (SAFE) programme was created to strengthen associate States' defence capacity. Poland is its largest beneficiary and will receive EUR 43.7 billion in the form of low-interest loans. The money will be used, among others, to acquisition drones, air defence systems, ammunition or weapons of land troops. The funds are to be spent by 2030 and the debt will be repaid up to 45 years from the date of payment of each tranche. About 90 percent of the funds will go to Polish companies, and the government estimates that the programme will benefit almost 12 1000 Polish companies cooperating with the arms industry.
