The decision to make an unmanned tank on the basis of the T-72 platform by the Russian plants Uralwagon has been announced [in 2018](https://pl.topwar.ru/183760-chto-stoit-za-shumihoj-vokrug-robotothnicheskogo-tanka-shturm.html). The following year, it was informed of the planned start of investigation and improvement work for the next 12 months. It was besides specified that the fresh tank would be built on the basis of a widely implemented T-72B3 army. This construction was intended for fighting in the city, especially for detecting and eliminating enemy reinforced points and handling anti-tank guided missiles and anti-tank grenade launchers.
